Touching Africa Ministries is the international mission’s ministry for Regency Christian Worship Center, in Aurora Colorado. Touching Africa Ministries was founded in 2008 by Dr. Michael and Ann Elliott. After many years of ministering in Ethiopia, the Elliott’s were asked to launch a new expression of ministry to this needy region of the world. At the invitation of the Evangelical Church Fellowship (the governing body and fellowship of churches in Ethiopia), the Elliott’s took their first team into Ethiopia in March of 2009. The results were outstanding. Thousands came each evening to hear the gospel and hundreds gave their hearts to Christ.
Touching Africa Ministries is working in a partnership with Dr. John and Dr. Jana Turns, founders of Doctors Giving Back, a medical mission’s organization based in California. In order to address the medical issues facing this needy region of the world, they operate a free medical clinic, providing medical care to thousands who would otherwise not be able to afford treatment. The Turns also work with the area’s local doctors, lending their expertise, wisdom and counsel to enhance the medical care to the region.
